WHAT KIND OF SERVICES DO YOU OFFER?
Church should be an enjoyable experience, so our services are energetic and upbeat. We want every person who visits Eaglepointe Church to leave challenged as well as encouraged. It is a time to visit with friends and learn encouraging truths from God's Word in a relevant way. Our worship is passionate with a style for today. Children are well-cared for in a safe, loving nursery and a fun-filled children's service.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN ON MY FIRST VISIT?
If you are visiting for the first time, we will not embarrass you, have you stand up, or ask you to give money. We know that many people want to check out the church and 'be anonymous' for a while-and that's fine with us! Come in, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, and see if this is the church for you.
WHAT STYLE OF SERMONS DOES PASTOR RICHARD PREACH?
Pastor Richard's messages are never dull: making the Bible easy to understand and apply to your life. Sunday sermons will challenge and inspire you to be all that God wants you to be.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO CHURCH?
You'll find everything from casual clothes to business casual at our Sunday Service. Come as you are - in whatever is comfortable - because Eaglepointe is not about what you look like or what you wear.
WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
We meet every Sunday Morning at 1310 Lindsey Street. It's at the corner of Lindsey and McCormick one block west of 35E. McCormick is one exit north of Fort Worth Ave.(Hwy 377)
DO YOU OFFER ANYTHING FOR CHILDREN?
At Eaglepointe Church your children are a top priority. We have recently enlarged and completely updated our nursery and pre-k rooms. Our nurseries are clean, safe, and staffed with loving workers. We offer a great kid's church that your children are sure to enjoy.
HOW DO I MEET OTHERS AND GET INVOLVED?
There are many different ways to get to meet others and get involved. First of all, our connection cafe is open every week from 10:00am to 10:30am which provides breakfast-on-the-go and great time to meet new people in a casual setting. Secondly, you can attend a Newcomer's Luncheon where we have lunch together and you can meet the staff and learn more about Eaglepointe. And last, you can get connected to a life group. We offer these group at multiple times each year.
WHAT TYPE OF CHURCH IS EAGLEPOINTE?
Eaglepointe Church is a new testament, life giving, body of believers. We exist to connect with God through worship, grow in our faith through practical and relevant teaching, connect with others through authentic relationships, and reach our community with the love of Christ through serving others and real friendships. We are a part of the Assemblies of God fellowship.
Welcome to Eaglepointe Church! We are so glad to have you on our site. I just wanted to give you just a little info about us. One word that defines us more than any other is the word "connect". The heart and focus of Eaglepointe is to provide an environment where people can connect to God in a real way in our weekend service and connect with others in genuine friendships. This past year our church has been experiencing incredible growth, because we strive to not only have a relevant service but to truly welcome and love people.
The bottom line is that we want this to be a place where people can genuinely connect with God and others and do life together!
Connecting at Eaglepointe is Easy as 1, 2, 3.
1. Attend a Newcomer's Luncheon
The first step in getting connected to church life at Eaglepointe is to come a Newcomer's Luncheon. Here you will meet Pastor Richard and Shanon and our staff, hear about our vision and values, and have a meal together. This is a great way to find out what Eaglepointe has for you and your family.
2. Attend our 101 Class
In this class, we take a closer look at the heart and DNA of Eaglepointe and what we're about. We take time to answer any questions, and we'll share how you get involved in using your gift and talents for God.
3. Join a Life Group
Life Groups are where Eaglepointe happens, the place where you can get connected to other people in similar life situations or with similar interests. You will serve, learn, grow and share with the people in your life group. No matter what is going on in your life right now, there is a life group for you!
About God - God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three personalities: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God. Genesis 1:1, 26-27; Genesis 3:22; Psalms 90:2; Matthew 28:19
About Jesus Christ - Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on the cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven's glory and will return again someday to earth to reign as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords. Matthew 1:22-23;
John 1:1-5; John 14:10-31; Romans 1:4
About the Holy Spirit - The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son of God. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. As Christians, we seek to live under His control daily. II Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13; Ephesians 5:18; John 14:17
About the Bible - The Bible is God's word to us. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because God inspires it, it is the truth without error. The Bible was not written only to educate us, but to change our lives. Psalms 119:19; II Timothy 3:16
About people - People are made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. People are the supreme object of God's creation. Although every person has tremendous potential for good, all of us are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God. This attitude, called sin, separates people from God and causes many problems in life. Genesis 1:27; Psalms 8:3-6; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:1-2
About eternity - People were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life. Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence. John 3:16; Romans 6:23; Romans 8:17-18; Revelation 20:15
